Collaborative Communities

NESA is much more than the staff at the NESA Center in Athens, Greece. The organization strives to fulfill its mission
through the commitment and dedication of several collaborative groups of educators throughout the region:

NESA Board of Trustees
A group of nine NESA heads of school, plus ex officio, the Regional Education Officer from the US State Department's Office of Overseas Schools. Learn more about the NESA Board | Board login

Professional Development Advisory Committee (PDAC)
The 'brain trust' of NESA, the PDAC is made up of a diverse group of curriculum directors from NESA member schools. Working with NESA's Executive Director and its Director of Professional Learning, the PDAC determines conference/institute topics and themes, and identifies speakers to address the specific professional learning needs of NESA educators. Wider Circle

Each member school appoints a designated individual to the Wider Circle. (PDAC members serve as their school's Wider Circle representative.) Learn more about the Wider Circle | Wider Circle login

NESA Collaboratives
These are professional communities of educators from NESA member schools who share practice, resources and references in specific disciplines (eg, literacy, math) or areas of professional responsibility (eg, middle school principals, coaches). Learn more about NESA Collaboratives
