‘Plant’ Theme at Elementary School, Kodaikanal International School, India

The preschool and kindergarten class at Kodaikanal International School followed a successful thematic approach through the year. The seven themes were, ‘Special Me’, ‘India’, ‘Germany’, ‘Community Helpers’, ‘Food’, ‘Space’ and ‘Plants’.
PRAYAS Saving Children

The Andaman Islands are one of the most beautiful places in the world. The islands which form long untouched beaches are renowned for their beach resorts and wonderful scenary. Consisting of several islands, located east of India, they are separated by narrow straits like: the Austen strait, Homfray's strait and more. After their independence on August 15th, 1947 many Indians moved to the Andamans giving it the name ‘Mini India’.

Reflection: The Tool That Can Transform Learning

The mind can be a wondrous playground of energy, curiosity, enthusiasm, like a ball of fire bouncing off of a court, twisting, turning, changing directions, angles, height and depth, seeing, observing, evaluating, contemplating, seeking meaning and understanding. It is through the process of reflecting that a simple isolated idea or concept can be transformed into a realm of infinite possibilities.
