American Education Reaches Out: Common Core Plus Workshops (AERO)

Six institutes at the Madeira School, in McLean, Virginia:

Academic Leaders (for curriculum coordinators and administrators); AERO: Common Core Plus Workshops on curriculum design in English, Mathematics, Social Studies, World Languages, Science and Mathematics Assessment.

Curriculum Design and Assessment in:

  • English/Language Arts    
  • Mathematics
  • Social Studies     
  • World Languages
  • Science

Preference will be given to administrator/curriculum coordinator and teacher teams.

June 22-26
Jefferson/Overseas Technology Institute (JOSTI)                                  

This annual five-day technology training for overseas educators will be held at the Thomas Jefferson High School in Fairfax, Virginia.

JOSTI 2015 will offer training in two strands:

  • Real Teachers Only! (K-12)
  • Real Techies Only!

Teachers, administrators, technology staff, and librarians are invited to apply.

A/OS member schools may send one or more participants. Technology training will be open to approximately 75 participants. One participant per school will be given first priority; other will be enrolled on a space-available basis.
