Teacher Representatives
Teacher representatives from NESA regular member schools are appointed or elected to serve as their school's liaison with NESA. Every fall, reps meet with NESA's executive director at the SECPW (Spring Educators Conference Planning Workshop) to discuss the Spring Educators Conference preparations—themes, speakers, etc—and their role as Teacher Reps which also includes:
- coordinating their school's teacher workshop proposals (accepted only from regular member schools)
- arranging travel/registration of their school's delegation
- coordinating the "Charity Raffle" at the conference, and assisting the NESA Center Staff during the conference
Additionally, NESA relies on the Teacher Reps throughout the year to promote its events, awards and projects, and to solicit submissions to its triennial newsmagazine, NESA NEWS.
As the new school year begins we'd like to warmly thank outgoing reps for your dedication and hard work throughout the year -- and to welcome (or welcome back) in-coming reps! We have a very exciting year ahead of us!
By now you should have received the fall issue of “NESA NEWS” and the 2009-2010 NESA At-A-Glance, along with a poster featuring this year’s four professional development events. If you haven't received the publications, please check with your school administrator regarding distribution of these materials. Should you not have received them, please contact the NESA Center, and we’ll get them to you right away.
The rest of this section is available only to NESA Teacher Representatives at regular member schools.
