NESA's New PE Collaborative!

The PE Collaborative is up and running! Natalie Bolton, Assessment Literacy consultant and Associate Professor at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, took a dynamic group of physical educators through a process of deconstructing standards and designing high quality assessments at last January's Winter Training Institute in Bahrain.

The 20+ participants eagerly participated in a variety of tasks which deepened their understanding of standards-based learning and how to apply what was learned to deliver quality physical education to students.

Plans for the 2017 Fall Training Institute at the American School of Doha include:

  • developing an understanding of Physical Literacy
  • identifying the key elements of quality physical education curriculum design
  • designing quality physical education units
