NESA Digital School Project (NDSP)
Rethinking the future of education – together.
The NESA Digital School Project (NDSP) is a future-focused initiative exploring the intersection of learning, innovation, and technology in today’s schools. Building on NESA’s long-standing commitment to innovation and collaboration, the project supports NESA Schools in navigating the complexities of modern education, where the digital and pedagogical are deeply intertwined.
Originally launched as the NESA Virtual School (NVS) more than two decades ago, the project focused on the development of cloud-based platforms to ensure continuity of learning in the event of school closures – proving visionary well before remote learning became part of everyday educational practice.
In 2024, the project was reimagined as the NESA Digital School Project, shifting its focus to the next step in futures thinking: from continuity of instruction to continuity of innovation. Supported through a partnership between the Regional Education Organizations and the U.S. State Department Office of Overseas Schools and connected globally through the World Digital School Project (WDSP), the NDSP provides a collaborative structure to advance international school digital efforts and support flexible and adaptive school planning.
The NDSP Project Director works in close collaboration with NESA’s Executive Director to ensure alignment with NESA Member School goals. Technology leaders, curriculum directors, and sectional leaders are welcome to participate in online collaboration and meetups throughout the year, as well as attend a two-day meeting prior to the NESA Fall Leadership Conference.
