Leading Towards Systemic Global Citizenship
How might we create the conditions for systemic global citizenship in our schools?
Creating systemic change means thinking about how to embed Global Citizenship into teaching and learning. No matter which age group of students you have, the leverage points are similar for long-term success. All learners have the ability to tackle complexity; they simply need the tools, frameworks and processes to do so.
For leaders, this means building capacity in their students and teachers, engaging the whole community in defining the terms and creating opportunities to effect global change with local impact.

How do leaders create transformation within their schools?
Transformational leaders consider the mental models within their context to affect student outcomes. Understanding change theory and systems transformation allows leaders to strategically build the capacity of the organization for more authentic learning experiences.
In collaboration with Inspire Citizens, the transformation of Frankfurt International School has been to create a culture of co-learning with multiple stakeholders, regular interactions through mentoring and coaching, and action towards change in the local community for global impact.
