An education shouldn’t cost the planet; it should be delivered sustainably, or even generatively. The great challenge — and opportunity — of our moment is how we can create schools that model harmonious modes of living until they become our norm, and reshape our educational programs to address the many challenges arising from the effects of the anthropocene epoch.
This workshop will aim to explore the journey of Robert College of Istanbul towards that aim. It is a bold vision, but an essential one.
As the Head of this great school, I share it unashamedly with you in the belief that change is still possible and hope is still valid — and because education remains our greatest tool.
