ABOUT THE PROGRAM

NESA is again offering this interactive cohort experience open to counselors at full NESA Member Schools. An experienced member of the Truman Group team will facilitate the meetings and provide clinical consultation and guidance. Each group of counselors will receive:

      • Consultation meetings twice per month
      • Peer-to-peer support
      • Educational consultation
      • Clinical consultation and referral
      • Didactic psychoeducation regarding psychopathology and basic management in schools

The groups will meet for 90 minutes twice per month between October 2022 and May 2023, on a regular day and at a time that works for participants, with breaks for school holidays.

NOTE: Groups are structured as standing cohorts instead of drop-in meetings. Counselors who commit to participate must be able to commit to the group meeting day/time throughout the year.

Participants will earn a NESA Certificate of Completion.

COUNSELOR FEEDBACK

Being able to spend time with other international counselors was essential to my well-being professionally and personally. We became quite close as a group and will continue to keep in touch and support one another. The sharing of expertise, knowledge, skills, resources and case studies was very helpful.
The cohort lightened my load. We were able to share resources, and made good connections.
I loved being part of this cohort. I felt very supported and connected to the group.
It was great connecting with counselors from different schools. Thank you again for providing this valuable program.
You are doing a very good service to school counselors. This is a great place to talk about helping others and ourselves.
It's a safe space to share what counselors have to deal with in challenging times. We bounce off ideas, we learn from each other, and we share frustrations that turn into possible solutions. It's been a great experience.
