NEASC ACE Learning: A Journey of Transformation
Is your school following the NEASC ACE or CLP Accreditation Pathways to accreditation, or are you interested in learning more about it? Are you interested in becoming a NEASC accreditation visitor in the future? Do you want to think about the impact of learning at your school even if you aren't involved in NEASC accreditation?
In the Fall of 2022, NEASC launched ACE Learning 2.0, a refreshed version of the transformational NEASC ACE Learning Principles. All schools preparing for their second round with ACE as well as new schools to NEASC will be using ACE Learning 2.0. Schools following the Collaborative Learning Protocol (CLP) with NEASC and the IB are also using ACE Learning 2.0.
Workshop participants will explore the new Learning Principles and engage in learning conversations and activities with peers from other schools to deepen their conceptual understanding.
The session will explore:
- The new 10 ACE Learning Principles with an expanded focus on well-being, DEIB, and Impacts
- The most updated Foundation Standards including NEASC’s new 8 Child Protection requirements
- Understanding how the NEASC 4 Cs (Conceptual Understanding, Commitment, Competency, and Capacity) and the Developmental Continuum can support a school’s journey of transformation
- Developing a Shared Understanding of High-Quality Learning
Time at the end of the workshop will be available for school-specific questions.
AUDIENCE
The session is beneficial for those whose own schools are following NEASC accreditation process as well as those who wish to be considered to serve on accreditation teams.
NEASC-approved visitors are also encouraged to join the session to learn about ACE 2.0. However, this is not a visitor training workshop but rather a session for those who are interested in learning more about NEASC ACE Learning, particularly ACE 2.0.
This workshop is a pre-requisite for people interested in attending a future NEASC Visitor Training.
REQUIREMENTS
- Participants must attend the full pre-conference workshop to qualify for the next stage of the Visitor Training process.
- Participants should have at least two years of leadership experience (teacher leaders are welcome) in an international school.
- Previous accreditation experience is not required, and participants are not required to be currently working in a NEASC member school.
Participants must commit to the following:
- 2-3 hours of pre-training work;
- The full 6 hours of training.
After the training, visitors will be invited to complete a written task for review by NEASC before qualifying to conduct visits on behalf of NEASC.
This workshop is a pre-requisite for people interested in attending a future NEASC Visitor Training.
