A Look Back at the NESA 2024 Heads Summit & Gallery

April 26-27, 2024 | Poros Island, Greece

The 2024 NESA Heads Summit took place at the Xenia IMAGE Hotel on the lovely island of Poros, Greece, April 26-27. Another record 28 heads of NESA member schools participated in two days of reflection and connection facilitated by NESA Executive Director Maddy Hewitt and several NESA Board members. An optional program for the 18 spouses/partners/guests was offered focusing on belonging, wellbeing and island exploration.

This year, the program included a fitting tribute to longtime NESA facilitator Teresa Arpin, who passed away in December, to honor her legacy.

The 2024 Heads Summit focused on Leadership, Well-Being and Belonging. The two-day program was designed for reflecting, reconnecting and deepening relationships. Participants discussed Servant Leadership within current conditions, continued to develop their U-Theory Practice, and learned from and with each other during Open Space Time.

The program also drew on the work of Otto Scharmer's "Theory U" and the concept of change through building shared understanding.

In the joyful and restorative spirit of Teresa, two inclusive activities took place for spouses/partners and heads together: the Belonging Activity on Friday morning led by NESA Board Members Michelle Remington and Colin Boudreau, and the Wonder Walk to the Lighthouse in honor of Teresa on Saturday morning led by Paul Richards and Cabby Tennis.

Special thanks go to the planning committee: Rose Puffer, Devin Pratt, Colin Boudreau and Roxanne Giampapa.
