This Institute is designed to help you plan effective core instruction using Fullan's 6 Cs of Pedagogy as an overarching framework. Together, we’ll explore the 6 Cs – Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, Citizenship, and Character – as pillars of deeper learning, embedded within ACER's High-Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS) and tailored to your academic discipline (defined by NCTM, NGSS, NCTE, and NCSS).
By integrating Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies, and AI tools into your planning, we’ll focus on creating and aligning lessons with the student practices outlined by professional organizations in each discipline, to support student achievement across subjects.
You will leave with a comprehensive framework grounded in Fullan’s 6 Cs, ready to deliver high-quality, inclusive instruction that meets the diverse needs of all students. Together, we’ll identify strategies that promote deep disciplinary thinking, enhance engagement, and develop problem-solving skills, while integrating AI tools for core instructional planning and data-driven insights. This approach ensures that students gain both content mastery and discipline-specific skills, all tailored to their individual learning needs.
Note: A laptop is required for these sessions.
