Joe Kay and Sophie Dummer from The Table Group introduce the Five Behaviors of Cohesive Teams and the Four Disciplines of Healthy Organizations. Drawing on their experience as leaders and working with leadership teams worldwide, this is a practical, interactive and experiential session woven with stories and perspectives from every industry.
Attendees are guided through open and candid conversations at their tables about where their teams currently stand against the Five Behaviors, and they are helped to identify future focus areas to build cohesion.
Participants will experience building vulnerability-based trust at their tables and understand how it quickly enables the team to develop psychological safety. As a result, they will be equipped with a simple tool kit and an understanding of how they can immediately start to create vulnerable trust within their teams.
This type of trust lays the foundation for all team members to approach meetings without holding back, challenge across functional areas, and leave behind the fear that what is said could be used outside the team. At-the-table discussions and trust-building exercises are supplemented by fun and highly interactive exercises with all attendees to increase awareness of how we approach trust at work and learn from different perspectives in the room.
Having built trust in the room and after lunch, Sophie and Joe introduce what healthy conflict means and the practical application of Table Group’s conflict spectrum. Attendees are guided through at-the-table conversations about 'norms and tips' they can immediately use within their leadership teams, which leads to better quality decisions and higher levels of commitment.
Attendees bring in perspectives of the different teams they have worked in and learn from each other. The session will end with a Q&A.
