This workshop is designed to guide educators through the core principles of ecomedia literacy, weaving together deep ecology and media literacy practices. The workshop includes field work, creative exercises (photography, poetry, video, and audio), reflective discussions, and teamwork to design practical classroom activities.
This two-hour session will empower educators to unpack the social, emotional and ecological aspect of media, and explore novel ways of using media to foster connection with nature and responsible digital citizenship.
By experiencing and designing activities themselves, participants will leave with actionable strategies ready to adapt and implement in their own classrooms and schools.
