Share the Journey Workshops feature select educator-led sessions on applied practice from our NESA schools, exploring the Learning Futures Summit themes of conscious citizenship and digital literacy. This is an opportunity for NESA educators to share best practice, effective programs, and cutting-edge innovations – while giving LFS delegates the chance to "learn from the field".

RAAZIA ALI has over 20 years’ experience in teaching and educational leadership. She currently teaches Middle School Math and Algebra 1 at International Schools Group-American School Dhahran and serves as Head of the Mathematics Department. A certified IB educator with expertise in data science and machine learning, she integrates AI-driven strategies into her curriculum. Raazia also coaches students for contests like AMC8 and MATHCOUNTS and leads teacher workshops on AI in education, leveraging technology to enhance learning, streamline tasks, and foster critical thinking.

Explore Flow Essentials Pakistan, a student-led project to reduce waste and improve community health by developing eco-friendly menstrual products while promoting civic engagement and environmental responsibility.

TASNEEM FEROZ BABRAWALA has over 15 years of experience in curriculum design, project-based learning, and preparing students for international competitions. Certified in Project-Based Learning from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an ISTE, STEM, and Google Level 1 Educator, she integrates research-based methodologies and innovative strategies to foster critical thinking, student agency, and engagement.

Building Conscious Citizens: SEL Strategies to Teach Life Skills (Gr. K-5)
Join elementary school educators to discover practical SEL strategies like Growth Mindset, Positive Discipline, and Mindfulness. Explore a custom SEL curriculum with monthly themes, empowering students to take ownership of learning and promote conscious citizenship. Create inclusive, engaged classrooms through “Mindset Monday” lessons and teacher modeling.
The curriculum is designed to align with social-emotional learning (SEL) goals and differentiated across grade levels and aims to meet the developmental needs of young learners while building foundational skills, life skills and characteristics that we hope to instill in our learners.
VICKI KLIMOU is a Greek-Canadian educator with 17 years of teaching experience. She earned a BA in French Literature and Linguistics and Psychology, she has taught from early childhood to college level. As a certified ESL teacher and Certified Positive Discipline Educator, she leads masterclasses on Positive Discipline, Growth Mindset, and other key areas where parents seek support, as well as regularly facilitating Positive Discipline workshops for elementary school educators. Ms Klimou also coaches the ACS Athens JV Girls soccer team!
ILIANA ELEFTHERIOU has over eleven years of experience in international elementary education and inclusive teaching. She holds a Master’s in Special Educational Needs and a Bachelor’s in Primary Education, bringing expertise in fostering growth-mindset-oriented, inclusive learning environments. Iliana specializes in curriculum development and student-centered learning. Beyond the classroom, she mentors neurodiverse individuals, supporting career readiness and workplace integration.
ATHENA STAVROPOULOS is a passionate educator with a strong background in elementary and international education. She holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a concentration in science and was a Fulbright Scholar, having served as an English teaching assistant at Athens College. With experience teaching in Michigan public schools and international settings, she values community building, cultural exchange, student-centered learning and fostering meaningful connections and a love for learning.

Igniting Conscious Citizenship – Empowering Students Through Positive Psychology (all grades)
This workshop will explore the intersection of positive psychology and civic engagement, drawing on the latest scientific research to empower educators to inspire their students to become active, compassionate and engaged citizens.
By leveraging the power of positive psychology, you will learn practical strategies to foster student agency, resilience and a strong sense of purpose, thus enhancing student self-efficacy, cultivating social responsibility and encouraging civic engagement and community action.
EIMEAR McDAID holds an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Organisational Leadership. Currently training as a wellbeing coach, she is passionate about the science of wellbeing and its role in helping people build resilience and maximise their capabilities. Eimear integrates strengths-based approaches into education. She delivers workshops for educators, parents and students to foster wellbeing and resilience.

Building Digital Classroom Communities Rooted in Empathy (Gr. K-5)
Our students face unique challenges in navigating online spaces—whether it’s understanding how their words affect others or responding to negativity. This workshop is designed to help us address these challenges by building empathy into the foundation of digital learning.

VICTORIA MORRILL is a passionate elementary educator with an M.A.T. in Elementary Education and a background in Studio Art. She is dedicated to helping students find meaningful and productive outlets for their energy and creativity. With experience teaching art at all grade levels and serving as a homeroom elementary teacher for six years, she fosters engaging, student-centered learning environments that inspire both academic and artistic growth.

Empowering the Minds fosters critical thinking skills and inspires social change. Through engaging activities and thought-provoking discussions, participants will learn to question assumptions, analyze information, and think creatively.
This workshop offers educators the tools and strategies to foster critical thinking in the classroom. We'll explore global challenges, identify obstacles to being well-informed, and learn how to ask questions to overcome these obstacles. The goal is to filter the chaos, identify the root causes of problems, and address them to drive change. By equipping students to question, analyze, and evaluate information, we empower them to make informed decisions and contribute meaningfully to society.
TONYA PAUL is an experienced educator with a 24-year career spanning international schools in Egypt, the United States, and Kuwait. She holds master's degrees in Instruction and Curriculum and Creative Writing. Passionate about empowering both teachers and students, Tonya is dedicated to supporting educators in implementing best practices to foster student growth. Her focus is on developing the next generation of leaders and change-makers, equipping them to make a positive global impact.
