Join NESA community members in a transformative exploration of child development, mental health, and social media.

This crucial four-part workshop is designed for parents and educators across the NESA region, and is dedicated to unpacking the complex relationship between mental health and social media. It will not only enhance your understanding of your own beliefs and values, it will also equip you with knowledge from a variety of researchers, including Jonathan Haidt, author of The Anxious Generation. This and other pivotal research will be shared throughout the workshop in order to ensure a balanced view that supports evidence-based decisions in the best interest of children.

Workshop highlights include:

      • Self-Reflection: Delve into your own knowledge and attitudes towards social media, child and teen development, and wellbeing.
      • Informed Parenting: Engage with cutting-edge research and literature to refine both parenting and teaching approaches and strengthen collaboration between adults to enhance child and adolescent development.
      • Youth Insights: Hear directly from kids and teens about their personal experiences with wellbeing and social media.
      • Action Plan: Craft a personalized strategy to promote a developmentally appropriate, healthy relationship with social media.
