Join a dynamic and diverse group of administrative assistants and support staff to share experiences, discuss common challenges and explore solutions and opportunities.

NESA's Strategic Support Sessions for Administrative Assistants & Support Staff are designed to offer strategic insights, practical skills and tools to empower you and elevate your impact.

The three online collaborative meetings will structure your learning journey:

SESSION 1

We will examine the strategic role and impact that support staff have in shaping culture and organizational success. We will discuss the importance of aligning support staff roles with the mission and strategic priorities of your school in order to create value and empower support staff.

SESSION 2

We will analyze common scenarios and operational and adaptive challenges faced by support staff. We will explore shared skills such as communication, prioritization, and conflict resolution. We will examine effective techniques and explore innovative ways to address common challenges in order to build capacity and resilience.

SESSION 3

We will wrap up with key takeaways on how alignment of day to day tasks with school-wide goals and values empowers support staff and highlights their value and contributions, strengthens trust and relationships and amplifies their organizational impact. We will discuss action plans and next steps to drive success.

Participants will earn a NESA Certificate of Participation.

Sessions will take place on Tuesdays, from 3:00-4:00pm Athens, Greece time (GMT+2):

      • Session 1: January 28, 2025
      • Session 2: February 18, 2025
      • Session 3: March 18, 2025

Uzma Ahmed

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FACILITATOR, INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS GROUP

UZMA AHMED grew up in Calgary, Canada and has lived in Saudi Arabia for the past 11 years. She is the Professional Development Facilitator at International Schools Group (ISG), Saudi Arabia, where she has been advancing educator professional growth since 2018. Uzma has over 20 years of experience designing and facilitating training for professionals across several sectors including education, healthcare, oil and gas and defence.

Uzma holds a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard University, is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional, and holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Calgary, Canada. She is currently working towards becoming an Adaptive Schools trainer and serves as an instructor for Continuing Education at the University of Calgary.

Uzma is passionate about adult course facilitation, including identifying learning needs and creating meaningful learning experiences for diverse audiences that inspire innovation, empowerment, and excellence.


Registration Fees

  • NESA Member & Affiliate School Subscription: US$125 / school team (max 25)

Fees quoted allow access to all three sessions for a school team of up to 25 members.

  • Individual Registration: US$30 per person

Individual registration includes access to all three sessions.
