In this workshop, we'll discuss the risks and vulnerabilities of international schools in general, and you will work to identify the risks that might be present in your school. We'll provide you with tools to perform risk assessments with your greater community, including students, and discuss ways to mitigate risks and build a foundation of security, psychological safety, and wellbeing for all.
In 2020, DEBBIE DOWNES joined ICMEC as as a regional trainer, and in 2022, she became Director of Global School Initiatives. She develops and provides child protection training, support, and resources to schools around the world. She has worked in international education for 18 years as an elementary teacher, school principal, and Accreditation and Child Protection Lead for a group of 36 schools.
