Heads Retreat 2019 - Dead Sea, Jordan


The 2019 NESA Heads Retreat took place at the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea, Amman, Jordan, April 26-27. A record 21 heads of NESA member schools (and 12 spouses/partners/guests) participated in two days of reflection and connection facilitated by Mark Ulfers, Executive Director of the Association for the Advancement of International Education (AAIE) and NESA's Executive Director, Maddy Hewitt.

The themes of the Retreat this year was Flourishing and the Science of Well-Being We drew on the work of Martin Seligman (Father of the Positive Psychology Movement), sharing his research in the Science of Well-Being, and from it creating the context of how we "Manage Self" to flourish as leaders and human beings, deepening our understanding and practices.

We have now renamed this event the HEADS SUMMIT! Due to the global pandemic, the 2020 Summit that was planned in Muscat, Oman, for May 1 - 2, 2020, was cancelled.
