Designing Engaging Units of Study and Assessments in the Arts
This two-day institute will be led and facilitated with Arts Education Teacher Leaders in the content areas of Dance, Music (elementary, vocal and instrumental), Theatre and Visual Arts.
Participants will delve into designing standards-based instructional units and assessment. Professional Learning Teams will be established in "job alike" working-groups with time for rich collegial discussions and planning.
Participants should come prepared with units of study, instructional resources, curriculum maps and new creative ideas to plan forward, all aligned to their unique learning communities.
Further, participants will fully experience the rich, cultural and artistic history of the Amman community connecting location, space and time to arts learning and experiencing.
Target Audience: K-12 Art Educators.
