The pandemic upended many of the usual rites and rhythms of a new school year, and though some of that disruption has led to innovation, it has also exacted a high emotional toll on administrators, school counselors, faculty, parents and students. We will talk about how this reality affects a school’s ability to teach and support students effectively.
More broadly, we will address the emotional effects that this crisis has had on administrators and counseling staff as they work to support the school community. We will discuss ways to develop more effective resources for schools, including support for Heads and counseling staff, that can help ameliorate some of the current disruption.
