Program Overview

NESA's Strategic Support Sessions for School Health Professionals are designed to support and empower school nurses as key partners in promoting student health, well-being, and academic success. We aim to establish professional standards, foster collaboration among nurses, and provide professional development opportunities, guided by a skilled facilitator.

Learn from case studies and real-world examples to help develop and refine your game plan. Across the three sessions, we will:

  • Connect: Establish shared direction. You’ll reflect on your current context, surface key priorities, and articulate goals for the year ahead. Foundational practices, frameworks, and relevant resources will be shared to scaffold collective learning and reciprocal support.
  • Engage: Build on the themes and goals raised in the first session through structured, collaborative problem-solving. You’ll explore emerging challenges in greater depth, exchange strategies, and receive peer and facilitator input to support implementation and move your work forward.
  • Reflect: Assess progress, celebrate growth, and capture lessons learned. You’ll reflect on what has shifted in your context, refine your approach, and leave with insights to carry forward into the next cycle of professional practice.

Outcomes

  • Build connections and community with fellow school health professionals.
  • Receive ongoing guidance and encouragement.
  • Be equipped with scaffolds, strategies, and tactics to enhance school nursing services.
  • Stay current with the latest developments and educational imperatives in student health and well-being.

Participants will earn a Certificate of Participation.
