NESA Virtual School Fall Meetings

The NVS Project will conduct its 19th annual meetings online this year
Tuesday & Wednesday, October 20-21, 11:00-15:00 UTC

(By invitation only)

Our primary mission has always been to help schools prepare effectively for emergency online continuity of operations. In the year of COVID-19, knowledge developed through this project over the past years proved to be extremely helpful to NVS participating schools in successfully managing the transition to online operations this past spring.

The focus of the NVS meetings in October will be a review of successes and of continued challenges in dealing with institutional adaptations related to the pandemic. There will be special focus on developing a better understanding of best practices with regard to long-term remote learning, and on effective online strategies to successfully educate students of all ages.

Our findings will be combined with those from the other six World Virtual School (WVS) Project regional meetings this fall which are similarly focused. In the spring and summer of 2021, the WVS team will use this collective knowledge to update our ever-improving emergency response and online continuity recommendations.

Participating NVS schools will be contacted with details about the meetings.
