The Quiet Revolution: The Power of Introverts

Susan Cain is a former Harvard-trained lawyer whose 2012 TED Talk, “The Power of Introverts” has more than 16 million views and whose book, Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can’t Stop Talking, is a number-one best seller.

Her organization, Quiet Revolution, is an online community covering kids, life and work, and offers content and resources designed “to unlock the power of introverts” and empower quiet children.

Their Quiet Schools Network is dedicated to “create Quiet Schools, which are characterized by an inclusive culture in which everyone is recognized for their potential to learn and lead in authentic ways.”

Her newest book, Quiet Power: The Secret Strengths of Introverts, is dedicated to the world of introverted children and teens, including school, extracurriculars, family and friendship, and includes a guide for parents and teachers.

Ms Cain’s podcast, “Quiet: The Power of Introverts with Susan Cain”, although only nine episodes, is very insightful. Check out Epidode 3: “Does Grading Participation Put Quiet Kids at a Disadvantage?”
